How does Videotapr save the last 30 seconds?

While a session is active, Videotapr continuously records into a rolling buffer on your device. When you tap save, the last 10, 20 or 30 seconds are saved as a clip to your Photos library (iOS) or Gallery (Android). Nothing is uploaded.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only to download the app and to buy Pro. Recording, saving and tagging clips all happen on your device and work offline.

What is included in Pro?

Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription). It unlocks unlimited clips, Full HD (1080p) recording, and tagging up to 8 players per session. The free tier is limited to 3 clips per day at HD quality. The exact Pro price depends on your platform (App Store or Google Play) and your region.

How does the smartwatch app work?

Start a session on your phone. A paired Apple Watch (iOS) or Wear OS smartwatch (Android) mirrors the session and shows a carousel with 10, 20 and 30 second options. Tap a circle on the watch to choose the clip length, then swipe up to save the highlight without picking up your phone.

How can I restore a purchase?

Open Videotapr and go to Settings, then tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) you used for the original purchase.

I lost my videos / how does deletion work?

All clips are saved to your device's Photos library (iOS) or Gallery / Movies folder (Android). If a clip is missing, check the "Recently Deleted" album (iOS) or Trash (Android). Deleting a session inside Videotapr keeps the video files, unless you tick the option to delete the clips as well. Deleting a single clip inside the app also deletes the video file.

Camera or microphone not working?

Open your device's Settings → Videotapr and make sure Camera and Microphone access are enabled. On Android, also check that battery optimization is disabled for Videotapr so the recording service is not interrupted.

Privacy

Videotapr does not upload your videos and does not collect personal data beyond a hashed device identifier, used only to stop the free trial and the daily clip limit from being reset. See our Privacy Policy.
